Technology on the move - help or hindrance?

As of 3 weeks ago I find myself regularly commuting to Manchester. Even a brief stay involves dragging a reasonable amount of technology; office laptop, smartphone, IPad. It also involves transporting extra cables just in case; a projector cable, various USB connectors, network cables, recharger etc. I also carry various memory sticks and a large pencil case, which always includes blutack and yellow post-its. What happened to the dream of mobile commuting, you may well ask! Over the next few weeks I plan to explain and I hope you can join me on the journey?
